Planning My Music Magazine

My target audience for my magazine is from 16-20 years old who are very much interested in music. I have chosen this because this age group especially will be more interested in the type of music that I have to offer for my magazine. The reason for why I have chosen a more of a young adult group range is because it will contain information that will attract them. The magazine I will make has been chosen by the gender that has been most responsive which the female is. I have chosen my genre from the results of my questionnaire as Hip-Hop and R’N’B were the most popular I will definitely say that this genre will be a part of magazine. I also noticed that rock music was very responsive so I will also include that in my magazine so therefore that means my magazine will have different edgy styles to it as this will attract not just on specific group of people. My magazine will come out monthly as I believe that this is an ideal choice. My magazine will have a lot of information which would be better for a monthly magazine. Having a monthly magazine means that there will be more effort put into the magazine unlike a weekly one where I would have to rush and it would be seen as a rubbish magazine. Being distributed every month shows that it would be an exclusive magazine. My magazine will cost 2.50 as I feel this is a very reasonable price for a good monthly magazine. This s not too expensive as I think that paying over 3.00 for a magazine is very inappropriate. As it is teenagers I’m aiming at I didn’t want my target audience to be put off by the price. My magazine will be a mainstream glossy magazine like sugar or vogue magazine as this will catch the eye of my target audience and these magazines are more popular within the target audience I have selected. This will make it more interesting as the readers will be intrigued to read more of my magazine. My magazine has been chosen to mainly be attracted to the female audience and glossy magazines will appeal to them more and this is want I want. Newspapers like magazines are not very interesting and there are not many colours or images in it. My glossy magazine will have funky colors and clear and interesting images.
